Do you brush and floss your teeth regularly? Do you make a habit flossing daily and of visiting our team once every six months? Do you ever wonder if there’s anything you might be able to do to keep your teeth healthy and strong? While there are a few things you could consider, such as using mouthwash or a tongue scraper, would you be surprised to learn that tweaking your oral hygiene routine is an option you could consider?

To start, many people don’t buy the ideal toothbrush. When you choose your toothbrush, you should buy one with a head that fits in your mouth comfortably. You should also choose a brush with soft bristles, and buy a new brush every few months. You see, if you use a brush with hard bristles, you could actually damage your teeth. You should also brush softly, as hard brushing can also hurt your pearly whites. We recommend brushing for two minutes at a time and moving your brush in a circular motion. If you move it up and down, you could scrape and damage your gums.

You should also avoid brushing your teeth right after you eat. You see, food can weaken your enamel for some time. If you brush while your enamel is weakened, you could actually damage it. Fortunately, you can avoid this problem by waiting to brush for about thirty minutes after you eat. After you eat, you can drink water to carry food particles away from your mouth to keep your mouth clean.
